India: 5g Fwa & Wireless Growth Trends In June 2025

5G FWA Subscriber Growth

Mobile Tele-density Trends

India’s overall wireless phone customer base, consisting of mobile and 5G Fixed Wireless Gain Access To (FWA), rose to 1170.88 million at the end of June 2025, signing up a monthly development price of 0.21 percent, according to the current data release by Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
India’s overall wireless tele-density boosted a little from 82.63 per cent in May to 82.74 percent in June. The city wireless tele-density enhanced from 124.91 per cent to 125.31 percent, while the country tele-density dropped from 58.90 percent to 58.82 per cent.
Urban vs Rural Mobile Growth
The TRAI information discloses that the urban mobile clients expanded from 630.42 million to 633.14 million, a growth rate of 0.43 percent, while country mobile customers decreased from 530.60 million to 529.88 million, marking a -0.14 percent decline.
The information shows that the cordless mobile section alone added 2 million new customers throughout June 2025, rising from 1161.03 million in May to 1163.03 million in June– a 0.17 per cent month-to-month development rate.
Market Share of Wireless Providers
Since June 30, 2025, exclusive gain access to provider held a dominant 92.20 per cent share of the mobile wireless market. The public industry devices (PSUs)– BSNL and MTNL– made up just 7.80 per cent.
The general development was driven mostly by urban locations, which saw an increase from 634.91 million to 637.87 million wireless clients– a monthly growth price of 0.47 percent. On the other hand, country cordless subscriptions declined somewhat from 533.51 million to 533.00 million, reflecting a -0.10 per cent drop, the TRAI said.
