The new regulations are set to take effect from 17 January 2025 and come in response to the growing trend of major UK phone, broadband, and pay TV companies including inflation-linked price rises in their contracts.

“Samsung will actively engage with influential standards organisations and continue developing innovative communications technologies en route to reinforcing its position as a global leader in 6G standardisation,” the company explained.
